Our Youth Advisory Group plays a key role in making sure our resources are clear, engaging, and genuinely useful. Made up of young people with diverse experiences and abilities, the group meets weekly to review our work — from wording and layout to illustrations and key messages.
Their feedback helps us:
Simplify complex information without losing meaning
Choose visuals and formats that are accessible and appealing
Make sure our content feels relevant, respectful, and easy to understand
By involving young people directly, we make sure that everything we do connects with the audiences they’re made for.
Hayden is creative, polite, and brings a gentle confidence to the group. They think differently, which helps the group look at problems from new angles. Their ideas are thoughtful, kind, and always rooted in wanting things to be better for young people.
Ick: Balloons.
Eryn is creative and thinks outside the box. They come up with ideas that shift the whole direction of a conversation and help everyone stretch their imagination. They’re steady, thoughtful, and have a quiet spark that lifts the group.
Ick: Mushrooms.

Ick: Eating something soft and it crunches.
Ahren is brilliant at bringing everyone in. They’re naturally inclusive and help the group feel like one team. They notice when someone’s quiet and gently pull them into the conversation. They’re open-minded, steady, and bring a calm confidence that helps the group work better together.
Ick: People who change their behaviour around different people (two-faced).
Amelia has a sharp problem-solving mind and loves figuring things out. She spots practical solutions the rest of us miss and keeps tricky conversations moving forward. She’s thoughtful, fair, and always wants the group to land on something that helps real young people.
Ick: Being sick.
Kaitlin is full of chat and brings a lively buzz to the group. She helps conversations flow, keeps things from going awkward, and makes sure no one feels left out. She’s bright, curious, and not afraid to say what she really thinks.
Ick: People eating with their mouth open.
Olivia helps people feel relaxed. She creates a gentle, welcoming atmosphere that helps the group open up. She listens deeply, spots when someone needs space, and brings a warm, steady kindness to everything we do.
Ick: Marmite.
Tommy loves solving problems. He’s the one who untangles complicated issues and explains things in a simple, clear way. He’s logical, grounded, and helps the group stay focused when conversations wander.
Ick: When people over-explain something simple.
Izzy sees the good in everything. She helps the group stay hopeful and grounded, even when we’re talking about tough topics. She brings kindness, enthusiasm, and a steady belief that young people can shape real change.
Ick: Big birds (only the big ones!).
Amber lifts the room the moment she walks in. Her positive energy spreads fast, and she helps the group stay upbeat even during heavier topics. She listens well, chips in with thoughtful points, and gives the space a relaxed, friendly feel.
